I'm a Baltimore native and former manager at a Suncoast Motion Picture Co., where I enjoyed taking movies with everyone from casual fans to hardcore cinephiles for the last twenty years.
I've recently moved to Southern California and fully expect to take advantage of my newfound proximity to Los Angeles, but I hope to visit my hometown often because Baltimore has an incredible film community!
I enjoy highbrow and lowbrow subject matter, classic movies and contemporary works, large-scale Hollywood blockbusters and small-scale independents; foreign films, too. It's all about finding something in the material to connect with.
Streaming is fine, but I love special features, so I still maintain a decent collection of physical media. Given the choice, however, I will always see something on the big screen over my home theater.
Also, I prefer discussing why something is a favorite versus why it's the best.
